'Bridging the Gap' - Intergenerational Practice

Intergenerational practice aims to bring people together for purposeful, mutually beneficial activities which promote greater understanding and respect between generations.
Include Youth through it’s Young Voices project in partnership with Westland Community Centre, Age Concern NI and Clanmil Housing facilitated a highly successful intergenerational project bringing together young and older people to address community safety issues. Thisresulted in a launch of an information leaflet highlighting the main findings from the project, attended by the Lord Mayor of Belfast and Mayor of North Down.
This workshop aims to share learning from our intergenerational work and support other organisations to develop intergenerational practices within their settings. It will be of interest to any organisation or practitioner wanting to develop intergenerational practices.
