Yoyo

Include Youth has always attempted to be a practitioner-led organisation with our lobbying and policy proposals being informed by the workers who interact directly with young people.

YOYO is ideally placed to inform workers of policy development and new legislation relating to marginalised young people and it provides opportunity for practitioners to share their views on this. The Forum is a vital source for informing Include Youth's work expecially when making responses to consultations. This enables practitioners to be proactive in initiating changes in the policies that affect them and their young people and provides a collective voice instead of leaving workers isolated.

The forum aims to:

  • Provide the opportunity for practitioners to meet and share experiences and information.
  • Provide the opportunity for practitioners to share their views and concerns about policies and services for the young people they work with. These will often form the basis of Include Youth's responses to consultations on policy issues.
  • Ensure that practitioners are kept informed of developments and proposals.
  • Share information and ideas with the 'Young Voices Project'.

If you would like to be included on the YOYO mailing list and attend meetings please contact Lorraine Thompson at our Belfast Office.
