DEL Specialist Provision
Training for Success was launched in September 2007 and replaced the old 'Jobskills' programme. Training for Success is designed for young people aged 16 - 18 years or 24 years for those requiring additional support and provides them with training to give them the tools and skills they need to get a job.
Some young people on the Training for Success programme present themselves with additional needs that training organisations may not be best placed to address. It has been recognised that there is a need for specialist organisations to provide this additional and specialist support. Include Youth has been granted Specialist Support Provider status by DEL along with 4 other organisations.
Currently we offer two support services to training providers:
- One to One Mentoring Support - a short term intervention to support young people in training organisations to address particular issues affecting them on an individual basis.
- The 'Getting Ahead' Programme, a twelve week personal development programme delivered in a group setting to enable young people to deal with major issues facing them today. This course is accredited by OCNNI at level 1.
