- SEELB - Education Welfare Service
Aims and Objectives: The aim of the Education Welfare Service is to ensure that all children of statutory school age in the SEELB have the benefit of mainstream access to educational opportunity through regular attendance at school or otherwise, and that parents fulfill their legal obligations regarding the education of their children. We aim also to provide support in the widest sense, for children of school age and their families, in order that children may maximise educational opportunities.

- SEHSCT Down Gateway Team
Aims and Objectives: The Gateway Service is the initial point of contact if there are any concerns about a child or a family. There are 3 kinds of contact: information exchange, requests for advice and guidance and referrals. The Gateway Service has responsibility to receive referrals and for completion of the initial assessment which informs future direction as regards case management.
