Aims and Objectives: Aim: to create safe healthy communities by reducing the negative impact of drug and alcohol misuse in areas of greatest need through the provision of support, education and advocacy. Objectives are to; Initiate, support and participate in local community development strategies on health and safety. Identify, target and engage with young people who are misusing or at risk from misusing drugs and alcohol, and their families. Design and deliver innovative drugs or alcohol education and awareness programmes which address the needs of young people, parents, practitioners and local communitites. Monitor and identify levels of drug and alcohol misuse, service provision and gaps in provision. Influence drug and alcohol policy and strategy. Ensure that CDP maintains the highest standards of professionalism and best practice.
