The Gateway Service is the initial point of contact if there are any concerns about a child or a family. There are 3 kinds of contact: information exchange, requests for advice and guidance and referrals. The Gateway Service has responsibility to receive referrals and for completion of the initial assessment which informs future direction as regards case management. |
