Aims and Objectives:

Anderson House Supported Housing Project aims to offer care leavers and vulnerable young people quality supported accommodation as a general transition to more independent living. On leaving the project, service users will have secured more permanent, independent accommodation. Be able to manage their tenancy responsibilities. Be able to manage daily living tasks and manage their home more effectively. Be more able to make informed lifestyle choices, have established new or extended existing positive support networks. Have an increased sense of self worth and confidence.

Programme Outline:

Provides supported communal accommodation and self contained flats for young people aged 16 - 21 for up to two years. Staff work with the referring agent to provide a needs assessment for all service users and work with service users to develop and deliver individual support plans. Service users are provided with practical support to develop independent living skills and are assisted to access community and specialist services. The project adopts an holistic approach ensuring the emotional, practical and physical needs of service users are met. Service users are assisted to find and move into their own accommodation in their chosen community.
