Aims and Objectives: Aims: To provide an introduction to VOYPIC, connecting care experienced children and yp, building support networks, self esteem, confidence and provide new opportunities for friendship, fun and skill development.; To promote children and yp's participation in all aspects of the agencies work; To support the development of participative practices; To ensure participation is meaningful, valued and not tokenistic; To develop children and yp's skills and capacity to participate; To provide forums, events and activities where young people can participate at a level that suits their need; To provide advice, support and training on Participative models of practice; To produce a communication tool for use in participative practice.
Programme Outline: Participation Project facilitates and supports the growth and development of care experienced young people aged 0 - 25 years by encouraging their personal and social development through group and individual work, enabling them to get involved, make a difference and have ownership and independence of their own lifes. Activities range from newsletter, website design. Young Volunteer Project, local group activities including art, drama and dance, personal development training, groupwork residentials conference events, training and consultations.
